Many of you know someone that has been touched by cancer…maybe even yourself personally. It is a very difficult diagnosis to bear. I do know that life is a precious gift from God and we must enjoy every day as if it is our last. We must Live….Love….and Laugh often.  I was diagnosed with stage IIIB Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, then diagnosed with stage IIB Breast Cancer. Chemotherapy, radiation, loss of appetite, loss of hair, doctors, medicine and death staring me in the face….twice…..but I only saw one thing…that is LIFE!

As a Survivor, I am now on a mission to bring awareness by sharing my story and letting people know that Cancer does not have to be a death sentence as I am walking testimony! I chose to celebrate my life every year that I survive this horrible disease. I do this with the support of my husband, family and friends by Hosting “Spring Bling Think Pink” The Pink Party with a Purpose! It is an amazing Celebration of Life and I am inviting my friends and family to join me this year on A Joyful Journey to Sunny Pompano Beach, Florida. Proceeds will be donated to a cancer support organization in Florida and to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center where I was treated. Why Support Breast Cancer?

With instances of Breast Cancer on the rise to the point that 1 out of 8 women is afflicted, the need for early detection and prompt treatment persuaded me and my husband to host this fundraiser. Statistics show that African Americans are more likely to develop and die of this disease than any other racial group.

What is Spring Bling Think Pink?

Spring Bling Think Pink is also known as The Pink Party with a Purpose. It is a beautiful, intimate party whereby I share my faith and story of survival. I provide an educational segment by doctors, serve great food and provide phenomenal entertainment. All this has a powerful impact on the attendees! My yearly theme songs have always been very upbeat and relative to Surviving! The talented artists that have supported me in the past include Ray, Goodman & Brown, Alyson Williams, Angie Stone, Gordon Chambers, The Michael Jazz Trio, Master G, Wonder Mike, Rob Base, and the amazing Regina Belle to name a few. These artists have everyone on the dance floor celebrating life!

Due to my passion and dedication and also the generosity of many local businesses and individuals, we have donated over $80,000 to various organizations. Recent beneficiaries include Gilda’s Club South Florida, Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, Gilda’s Club Northern New Jersey, a cancer support community, and Tennis For Life, an active Breast Cancer support group in Ridgewood, NJ.

Spring Bling Think Pink Joyful Journey 4 will be benefiting Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and Gilda’s Club South Florida.
